• VPN is a Virtual Private Network. All CHOP related applications and information can only be accessed through VPN.
• The VPN keeps CHOPs information secure and protected by being on a network that only those who are authorized to access can get to

What is MFA?

• MFA is Multifactor Authentication. MFA is used when accessing CHOP applications and data while you are not physically in a CHOP building CHOP uses Microsoft for MFA
• CHOP uses Microsoft for MFA
• MFA allows you to securely access CHOP applications while you are at home
• All employees are required to set up Multifactor Authentication prior to accessing CHOP data through the VPN
• MFA is set up using your smartphone
• MFA is a combination of a password and an approval through a trusted device, such as your smartphone
